I swear Tennessee is my favorite state. Total blanket statement, but I've had only good experiences there. Another blanket statement: Everyone there is so happy, loves nature, and has good taste in food, music and art. Knoxville's (unofficial?) motto is, "Keep Knoxville Scruffy" and it perfectly describes the city.

Shoutout to our AirBnB host, Faith, at the Marble Inn! She has an amazing historic bungalow, art collection, and cooking skills. If you're in the area, consider staying at her place.

The Pioneer House

I was so happy we stumbled into this place! I cannot resist anything letterpress or screen printed. And on top of that, this store is also the artist's studio and a type of Western clothing store.

Their website describes themselves as, "A letterpress printmaking studio, gallery & honky tonk vintage shop in downtown Knoxville, TN with a mini studio in New Orleans. The in-house collection of amazing antique wood type, decorative metal type & printable ornaments are mixed with original & vintage imagery carved into wood or linoleum & hand printed on reconditioned antique printing presses."

Here's the poster I decided on. It's super weird and awesome and goes along with this tonal-yellow poster vibe I have going on in my apartment right now. Will thinks it's creepy which might make me like it even more.

This type isn't revolutionary, but THE BURGERS ARE. Several people in the city recommend we eat here, and we are so happy we did. A week later and we're still talking about it. Stock & Barrel burgers were rated #5 in the NATION and are expected to get #3 this year.
